Strauss Zelnick, de CEO van Take-Two, heeft zich voor het eerst uitgelaten over de DLC voor GTA V. Hij vertelde dat Rockstar veel interessante dingen in de planning heeft staan, maar tegelijkertijd merkte hij op dat het momenteel nog veel te vroeg is om het over DLC te hebben: "[It's] way too early to discuss those plans, and of course those discussions will come from Rockstar in the normal course. I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you'd have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there's going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I'll leave that to Rockstar to announce." Afgelopen dinsdag meldde Rockstar dat Grand Theft Auto V in de lente van 2013 uitkomt. Zelnick was nu iets specifieker: volgens hem hoeven we de game niet eerder dan april te verwachten. Hij verklaarde tevens waarom er nog geen exacte datum onthuld is: "With regard to the date for Grand Theft Auto 5, spring 2013, we make those announcements based on what we think is best to market the title, and we think that's the right way to describe it, and we're thrilled with the way that is shaping up." Grand Theft Auto IV kreeg twee zeer uitgebreide DLC-pakketten. In The Lost and Damned kropen spelers in de huid van de leider van een motorbende, terwijl in The Ballad of Gay Tony juist het kleurrijke nachtleven van Liberty City centraal stond.  Tweet
