De British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) heeft de nominaties bekend gemaakt voor hun Videogames Awards. De Awards zijn ingedeeld in dertien categorieën waarvoor een panel van experts de mogelijke winnaars kiest. Het publiek kiest als laatste de winnaar van de GAME Award of 2008. Bovenaan de lijst is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare te vinden die genomineerd is voor maar liefst zeven categorieën. Op de tweede plaats staat Grand Theft Auto IV met zes nominaties en zowel Fable II als LittleBigPlanet sluiten de top drie af met elk vijf genomineerde categorieën.
